| Continuing a Legacy... This is what the Apostolic Lighthouse is all about. Our Pastor Daryl Scott is the grandson to Rev.A.J. Walston. Rev. Walston is the founder of the first One God Apostolic church in Barstow, Cal. In the 60's Rev. Walston came to Barstow and started the church in his own home, later as the church grew he was able to purchase a church building which he paid for with his own money. He had a VISION and we today hold to his vision. His VISION is to see souls saved for God's glory, not mans. "He that winneth a soul is wise." Every soul matters to God whether, male or female, black or white, rich or poor, bond or free. Every person should have a chance to feel the love of God and go to a church where they are completely accepted. Who are we to chose who can and can not come into the house of God. Rev. Walston has such a burden for souls that he and one other brother in the Lord personally knocked on every door in Barstow, during his time as pastor here. His love for souls still shows today in every conversation he holds. Rev. Walston now lives in Maine where he and his second wife pastor a church. Rev. Walston has started churches that still remain to this day. We thank God for this man and try to follow in his steps. |
